Sound Familiar?
Four Situations That Turn Wire Sourcing Into an Emergency
01
One supplier. One region.
A single mill or a single country carries your whole wire supply. When it hiccups, your line stops.
02
Coating that cracks and flakes.
Zinc loss during forming, a weak weld, poor paint adhesion, and lot-to-lot inconsistency that show up as scrap and rework.
03
Lead times stretching.
Your mill is at capacity, allocations are tight, and your order is the one that slips.
04
Tariffs reshuffle your cost.
A trade action or freight swing changes your landed cost overnight, and you have no alternative source of supply.
You don't need to replace your current supplier. You need an alternative before you need one.
The best time to qualify a backup is while things are calm. We make that evaluation low-effort—and you keep every option open.
What You Get
A Qualified Backup That Runs on Your Line—Without the Import Headache
Production keeps running through a disruption
A second source that is already tested, documented, and ready—so a supply problem is an inconvenience, not a shutdown.
Wire that runs cleaner in your process
GCB electro-galvanized wire is built for uniform coating, formability, weldability, and paint adhesion—less flaking, less scrap, fewer surprises.
Made to your spec
Diameter, tensile, coating weight, mechanical properties, coil, and packaging developed around your application.
Importing without the headache
Ocean freight, customs, inland transport, and delivery coordinated for you. You place the order; we make it arrive.
One number to call when something's wrong
Claims, corrective actions, and quality documentation handled by a U.S.-based partner who stays accountable after the sale.
A real benchmark on performance and cost
Compare GCB wire against your current wire on your own equipment—then negotiate from a position of knowledge.
Importing wire usually means juggling a mill, a freight forwarder, a customs broker, and a bank. We've built the process so you deal with one party and see one delivered price.
Phase 1
Quote and Sample
Send your spec. Diameter, coating weight, tensile, annealing, steel grade—and the ship-to address.
Get one delivered price. Your quote is a landed, delivered-duty-paid cost per pound, with the wire spec confirmed and an approximate delivery date. No surprise freight, tariff, or port fees later.
Test before you commit. Small samples ship to you at no cost for a quick look at coating and surface. Production samples (typically 60–120 pounds, air-freighted) let you run the wire on your own equipment.
You know: exactly what it costs at your dock, and how it runs on your line.
Phase 2
Confirm and Produce
Your PO, confirmed in writing. You receive an order confirmation with the full specification and logistics summary to sign off, so you, we, and the factory are working from the same document.
Production and pickup dates locked. The factory confirms its production schedule; the logistics partner confirms the shipping schedule and delivery date.
Watched daily. We track production and freight status every day, so slippage is caught early, not at the port.
You know: when it ships, when it lands, and that the spec hasn't drifted.
Phase 3
Deliver and Support
One invoice, everything included. Wire, ocean freight, duties, tariffs, and inland delivery on a single invoice—no reconciling four vendors.
Weekly status on every open order. A written report each week, plus an assigned account manager who can address or escalate any issue.
Reorders made easy. Once qualified, repeat orders run on the same confirmed spec and the same process.
You know: who to call, and that someone is accountable after the truck leaves.

Our Story
Why We Can Promise You a Better Second Source
You're trusting a backup supplier with your production. Here is what stands behind that trust—and what each part of it means for you.
20+years since the problem was first discovered at Wesco Distribution
$2Mfounder investment to develop and commercialize the technology
2 million+ MTproduced worldwide using the proprietary electro-galvanizing wire technology
8,000 MT/moGCB wire mill capacity now open to North American manufacturers
The Short Version
Five Things That Stand Behind the Wire You'd Be Running
The Problem
Inside the wire industry at Wesco Distribution
As VP of Global Marketing at one of the largest U.S. electrical distributors, Mike Ludwig worked with the world's leading wire manufacturers—and saw aging hot-dip technology, mounting environmental pressure, and inconsistent quality.
For you: the quality and supply problems you deal with today were visible twenty years ago. This company was built to solve them, not to trade around them.
The Technology
Backing a better way to galvanize
Sam Altman and Altman Technologies were developing higher-quality, better-performing, environmentally friendly electro-galvanizing. Mike invested approximately $2 million to develop and commercialize it.
For you: the people selling you this wire understand the process that makes it—and can talk to the factory in its own language when your spec needs adjusting.
The Proof
Proven in U.S. production
The technology has more than seven years of production history in the U.S. with major wire users. Production at the Lebanon, Pennsylvania plant refined the process around what matters on the floor: coating consistency, formability, weldability, paint adhesion, and lot-to-lot reliability.
For you: this isn't a lab result. The wire was refined on customers' formers, welders, and paint lines over seven years of real orders.
The Scale
Altman builds GCB Wires
Altman Technologies designed, built, and commissioned the GCB Wires facility—one of the world's most advanced electro-galvanized wire plants, with capacity exceeding 8,000 metric tons per month.
For you: a backup source is only useful if it has room for your volume when you need it. GCB does.
Today
Global Wire Partners launches International Sourcing Solutions
Tariffs, trade restrictions, and capacity constraints make a qualified alternative source essential. As GCB's exclusive North American representative, we help manufacturers qualify one before they need it.
For you: one U.S.-based partner, exclusively tied to one factory, accountable to you for everything from sample to delivery to corrective action.
What We Believe
You don't need to replace your current supplier. You need an alternative before you need one.
We don't stand between the customer and the factory. We connect them—with U.S.-based technical, quality, logistics, and customer support from first sample through ongoing production.
Global Wire Partners began with a problem I first recognized more than two decades ago while serving as Vice President of Global Marketing at Wesco Distribution, one of the largest electrical distributors in the United States.
Working closely with leading wire manufacturers and visiting wire mills, I saw firsthand the challenges facing the galvanized wire industry. Traditional hot-dip galvanizing technology had changed relatively little for decades, older plants faced increasing environmental and regulatory pressures, and manufacturers were experiencing quality and supply concerns. The industry needed more than additional capacity. It needed a better way to manufacture galvanized wire.
That search introduced me to Sam Altman and Altman Technologies, a specialist in surface-treatment and wire-processing technology. Sam was developing an advanced electro-galvanizing process designed to provide more precise control over zinc coating and surface quality while offering a more environmentally responsible approach to galvanizing. I believed strongly enough in the technology that more than 14 years ago I invested approximately $2 million to help develop and commercialize it.
We built a plant in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and worked directly with major wire users to refine the technology in real-world manufacturing environments. Over more than seven years of production with major U.S. wire users, we continually improved the technology around the characteristics that matter on a customer's production floor.
Most importantly, that experience and technology became the foundation for GCB Wires. Its plant was designed, built, and commissioned by Altman Technologies and uses the proprietary electro-galvanizing technology developed by Altman. What began as an effort to develop a better way to galvanize wire has evolved into advanced manufacturing capable of supplying North American manufacturers at meaningful scale.
U.S. manufacturers operate in a world of tariffs, trade restrictions, changing freight costs, geopolitical disruptions, capacity constraints, and increasingly complex global supply chains. Depending entirely on one supplier—or one region of supply—can create significant business risk. That is why Global Wire Partners exists. We aren't simply selling wire. We are helping manufacturers build a stronger and more resilient supply chain.
Buying wire internationally can look attractive on paper. Making it work reliably in a production environment is much more complicated—and when a problem occurs, someone needs to take responsibility for solving it. As the exclusive authorized North American sales representative for GCB Wires, we combine direct factory access with local accountability. We don't stand between the customer and the factory. We connect them.

Product
Hot-Dipped Galvanized Wire
Hot-dipped galvanized wire is immersed in molten zinc to create a durable coating for demanding indoor and outdoor applications. Heavier zinc coatings provide corrosion protection where wire is exposed to moisture and weather. Compared with electro-galvanized wire, the finish is typically rougher and less uniform, with less precise coating control.

Three Ways to Sample
Small sample — short wire strips in standard diameters and coating weights, shipped to you at no cost, for a quick look at coating and surface quality.
Production sample — typically 60–120 pounds, air-freighted, so you can run it through your own forming, welding, and finishing.
Large production sample — typically two or three 2,200-pound coils to conduct a more thorough evaluation before placing a container order.
